Here To Help You
January 4th, 2021
When we entered lockdown back in March 2020, none of us could have predicted that we would be entering another lockdown towards the end of the year, or a tiered lockdown depending on where you are in the country. As the UK, Scottish and Irish Governments place restrictions on non-essential businesses, we want to assure you that as we are categorised as an 'essential business', we remain operational and are still here to help.
80% of our workforce continues to operate remotely, and as technology develops, we are constantly adapting to allow us to be more agile and responsive ensuring our technical experts and customer service teams remain available to help. Our Fulfilment Centre team continue to operate from our head office facility in Aberdeen to maintain the flow of products and services to you, and our Assembly Technicians in our Motherwell facility continue to fabricate and assemble systems to meet your specific needs.
Our training academies in Aberdeen and Middlesbrough are operational, delivering safety critical training courses and technical tests. We have implemented stringent social distancing, monitoring and hygiene measures that are under constant review by our QHSE department to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of our customers, our teams, our partners and everyone around us remains our top priority.
We also listened to our customers who were seeking new ways to complete training courses in the safest manner possible, and seeking cost savings in these challenging times. As an alternative to attending all parts of a training course face-to-face, delegates can now complete the ECITB SBT01 course through a blended learning programme and our Swagelok Small Bore Tube Fitting Installation course can be completed via online live instructor-led training. These online learning courses still maintain high quality learning effectiveness, but minimises the time of exposure to group situations. More courses are currently being transitioned to a remote learning approach. For further information or to view our scheduled dates and availability, visit our training page.
In addition to the measures we have implemented locally, we also continue to work alongside Swagelok who have a rigorous risk mitigation and supply chain program in place that accounts for some level of unplanned disruption. Swagelok also continue to prioritise the health of associates at work by implementing stringent measures, constantly monitoring guidance and making improvements to their response program. We are currently experiencing no delays to incoming or outgoing shipments with the exception of a small service reduction from the over-stretched logistics service providers which we continually monitor.
These continue to be unprecedented times for every business but as an 'essential business' we are here to support the critical industries our customers serve and help maintain the critical infrastructure of our nation. By working together, we have the potential to reduce the risk to our people, our businesses and our communities as much as possible.
We hope you all remain safe and healthy.
Best regards,
Peter O'Connor
